The issue whether to mount the elevator on top or below the tailboom of a DLG has been discussed a lot. This video takes a practical approach to this problem and concludes that on to is best. It is known to the author that the thread is not mass-less, and that the drag of its end stretches the frontmost part. This has been taken into account by selecting a lightweight yarn that also tapers toward the end. The inaccuracies are within those of the method. We're not talking millimeters here ...
